This is an open-ended video project that explores the idea of one's personal environment. I live in one of Toronto's five most notorious neighbourhoods, so I decided to focus on how one could manage living in an unsafe environment.

The goal is to make it emotionally engaging. The subjects used were often random and seemingly unspecial, but when juxtaposed with typography and careful cropping, transform into a whole new narrative. It is through this looking at the ordinary in a different context that makes the environment bearable. The text used is from the Bible, Psalm 23 where the author describes God as the ultimate protector.
